Castleton's Brandon Boyle Named to AFCA All-America Team

Waco, Texas – Junior wide receiver Brandon Boyle was selected to the 2012 Division III American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) All-America Team for his impressive play this season.

Boyle is the first Spartan to be honored by the AFCA and just one of 22 players in the entire country to be named to the squad. There were just six juniors on the squad and Boyle was one of the two wideouts selected, along with Scott Pillar of Albright College.

In 2012, Boyle finished second in the nation in total receiving yards (1533), receiving yards per game (139.4) and seventh in receptions per game (8.7). All three were Spartan records, as were his 96 catches and 18 touchdown receptions. Boyle was also the only wide receiver in the country to record at least three games with 220 yards receiving.
