Three ECFC senior student-athletes have been selected to participate in the 4th Annual D3Senior Classic. Mount Ida defensive lineman A.J. Knibbs, Maritime linebacker Keith Barnes and Norwich offensive lineman Sean Southworth will play for the North squad.
The All-Star Game that pits the best Division 3 players from the North schools against the best of the South will take place on Friday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m., at the Salem Civic Center, in Salem, Va., the site of the 2012 NCAA D3 National Championship.
In addition to Barnes' honor, the Maritime coaching staff has been invited to lead the North squad and will be sending six coaches to the event. Assistant Coach Al Piascik will serve as the head coach of the team and he will be joined by Rich Mercado, Vincent DiGaetano, James Werner, Josh Hinch and Anthony Patti. They will be looking to lead the North to its fourth-straight victory over the South.
