Conference play is underway in the ECFC and preseason favorites Norwich and Maritime are at home looking for their first conference wins of the year.
Castleton (2-2, 1-0 ECFC) goes up the road to Norwich (3-1, 0-1 ECFC) for a 1:30 pm kickoff on Saturday. Recently named one of the top 20 sporting experiences in Vermont, the battle for the Maple Sap Bucket features the Spartans league leading passing attack against the Cadets conference-best rushing offense.
Maritime (1-3, 0-1 ECFC) hosts Becker (2-2, 1-0 ECFC). The Privateers have beaten the Hawks by an average of 37 points per game in their last three meetings, but Becker brings in a potent passing game
Anna Maria (1-3, 0-1 ECFC) travels to Mount Ida (3-1, 1-0 ECFC) in a battle of the leagues two highest-powered offenses. The host Mustangs, who have won the previous two conference meetings, average 423 yards of offense while the visting AMCATS rack up 410 yards per game.
Gallaudet (3-1, 1-0 ECFC) is making the long trip from D.C. to Maine this week to face Husson (1-3, 0-1 ECFC) in the games first day at noon. The Bison boast the leagues stingiest defenese, allowing only 281 yards and 18.2 points per contest.
