Castleton's Boyle Named to D3football.com Team of the Week

CASTLETON, Vt. - After a record-setting performance last week, Castleton junior Brandon Boyle (Springfield, Vt.) was named to D3football.com's Team of the Week.

Boyle showed why he is one of the most prolific receivers in the nation in Castleton’s first-ever victory over Norwich, to capture the Maple Sap Bucket trophy.

The junior caught 15 passes for a school-record 274 yards and three touchdowns. His first touchdown gave the Spartans the early 7-0 lead and his final two capped off the Castleton scoring and gave the team an insurmountable lead.

He is currently third in the nation in both receptions (9.6) and yards (135.4) per game. Boyle is also the only receiver in the nation to be named to the d3football.com Team of the Week multiple times.
