SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Mick Wong, Castleton
(Jr, LB - Hartford, Vt.)
Wong made his presence felt all over the field, but it was his work on special teams that helped propel the Spartans to the 28-20 victory over Gallaudet down in Washington D.C. on Saturday. After a Bison touchdown put them up 20-7, Wong managed to get around the edge to block the extra point try. Then with 1:32 left in the third and Castleton clinging to a 21-20 lead, Wong blocked a 33-yard field goal to keep Gallaudet from scoring once again. He also finished the day with seven tackles and six of the solo variety as the Spartans improved to 5-0 in the ECFC.
