Two Castleton Standouts Named to D3football.com Team of the Week

A pair of Castleton offensive standouts earned national recognition following their performance on Saturday. Castleton junior wide receiver Brandon Boyle and junior tight end Denny Wilhelm were named to the D3football.com Team of the Week presented by Scoutware.

Boyle was all over the field with a school-record 17 catches for 172 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 56-35 loss to RPI. Seven of Boyle's catches resulted in first downs.

Wilhelm had a career-high 10 catches for 76 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Four of his catches were for first downs and Wilhelm also drew a pass interference on a third down play in the second half.

This marks the second consecutive week an ECFC player has earned national recognition. Last week Gallaudet senior cornerback Tony Tatum was named to D3football.com's Team of the Week and his touchdown catch received Play of the Week honors following the Bison's historic first-ever win over Catholic University of America last Friday night.
