Norwich improves to 3-0; Several ECFC teams fall in high scoring affairs

Led by running back Danny Triplett's 147 yards rushing and two touchdowns, Norwich defeated WPI 20-3 to improve to 3-0 on the year. The Cadets gained 319 yards on the ground and forced three fumbles.

Nowich was the only team to defeat a Liberty League foe in four matchups. Maritime lost two turnovers in a 14-19 defeat to Merchant Marine. Mount Ida quarterback Scott Drosendahl launched five touchdown but it wasn't enough as the Mustangs fell to Springfield 42-49.  Shane Brozowski set a new Castleton record with 41 completions, and threw for 400 yards and four touchdowns for the fifth time in his career, but RPI proved to be too much for the Spartans in a 56-35 setback.

Husson defeated Anna Maria 28-22 in a non-conference matchup. The back and forth affair saw the AMCATS score with two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter on a Robert Small 21 yd run. The Eagles responded on the next play from scrimmage with a Ryan Dorso 75 yd run to put Husson ahead for good.

Becker lost a seesaw battle with Hartwick, 53-41. Even though Becker forced six Hartwick turnovers, they allowed over 600 yards of offense on the road.
