OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Shane Brozowski,
Castleton
(Sr, QB - Rensselaer, N.Y.)
Brozowski was unstoppable in Castleton's 54-33 win over Anna
Maria on Saturday. He threw for 299 yards in the first half alone,
before finishing with 403 yards and five touchdowns to four
different receivers. Brozowski finished 29-for-46 with no
interceptions and completed passes to eight different players in
just over three quarters of action as the Spartans built a 54-16
lead early in the fourth quarter.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Adham Talaat,
Gallaudet
(Jr, DL - Springfield, Va.)
Talaat had 3.5 tackles for a loss of 24 yards and 2.5 sacks
for a loss 21 yards as Gallaudet won 48-26 on the road over Becker.
Talaat also forced a fumble and stalled a scoring drive for Becker
when he sacked the quarterback too move them out of field goal
range. He also had four tackles in the win.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Bobby Hemmann, Mount
Ida
(Sr, K - Newington, Conn.)
For the second time this season, Mount Ida College football
senior kicker Bobby Hemmann propelled the Mustangs to their fourth
straight ECFC win connecting on a 38-yard field goal with four
seconds remaining in the game breaking at 21-21 stalemate Saturday
afternoon against visiting Maritime College (SUNY) at Alumni Field.
Hemmann also was a perfect 3-3 on extra point attempts in the 24-21
victory.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Todd Bonheyo,
Gallaudet
(Fr, QB - Frederick, Md.)
Bonheyo accounted for four touchdowns last Saturday as he
and his older brother, Ryan, helped Gallaudet win 48-26 on the road
over Becker. The freshman quarterback ran for 88 yards on 14
carries scoring three touchdowns on the ground. Bonheyo also threw
for 104 yards (7-of-14) and one touchdown and one
interception.
