MANCHESTER, N.H. – Three ECFC standouts were named to the 2013 New England Football Writers Division II/III All-New England team. Husson defensive lineman Ernest Wiggins, Becker linebacker Melvin Booker, and Mount Ida offensive lineman Frank Civitello were recognized as part of the twenty-eight players representing 21 different teams.
Husson senior defensive tackle Ernest Wiggins earned ECFC Defensive Player of the Year honors. Wiggins accounted for 7.4 tackles per game and eight sacks in ten games this season for a loss of 44 yards.
Booker is the first player in Becker program history to receive this honor. The senior led the ECFC with 9 sacks, while averaging 9.5 tackles per game. Booker finished his career at Becker as the all time leader in tackles (301), unassisted tackles (179), assisted tackles (122), tackles for a loss (37.5), yards from tackles for a loss (210), fumble recoveries (5), sacks, (18.5), and yards from sacks (120).

Civitello is the second straight Mustang lineman to earn the accolade, following Matt Bonomolo, who also was ECFC OL of the Year a season ago.
