Gallaudet senior Ryan Bonheyo returned a blocked field goal 79 yards for a touchdown as time expired, giving the Bison to a dramatic 40-34 victory over Becker. With the win, Gallaudet remains perfect at 8-0 (5-0 ECFC), while the Hawks fall to 1-7 (0-5 ECFC).
Gallaudet's game-winning play was featured on ESPN's SportsCenter Top 10 plays for Saturday at No. 5. The video was shared on social media and gained attention and tweets from ESPN College Football (@ESPNCFB) and Yahoo Sports' Dr. Saturday (@MattRHinton) to name a few.
Husson bested Martime by a final of 39-17 remaining a game back of Gallaudet at 4-1. Shabashe McIntosh capped the day for the Eagles on the opening kickoff of the second half with an electric 91-yard touchdown run.
Norwich defeated Mount Ida 38-19 to improve to 4-1 in conference play. The Mustangs were done in by a multi-headed rushing attack of the Cadets, who gained 344 yards on 55 attempts (6.3 yards per rush) and scored five touchdowns on the ground.
Anna Maria College senior Robert Small ran for 225 yards and three touchdowns to lead the AMCATS to a 42-14 victory over visiting Castleton.
