WASHINGTON – ESPN, the worldwide leader in sports, will feature the Gallaudet University Bison football team and its story on Thursday (Nov. 21) night's 6 p.m. (EST) SportsCenter. The feature is slated to be SportsCenter's "Centerpiece" feature and will be posted online and might be aired on other ESPN networks. ESPN shadowed the Bison (9-1) during their final home game of the regular season on Nov. 9 as GU clinched the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference championship with a 35-7 win over Anna Maria College. The ESPN crew interviewed Coach Chuck Goldstein, Ryan Bonheyo, Todd Bonheyo and Adham Talaat.
The GU football team has been featured on multiple national and local media outlets over the course of the past month due to the team's record-setting season. Gallaudet has been featured on ESPN College GameDay, ESPN's #Great8 show, SportsCenter's Top 10 plays, CBS Evening News and in Washington, D.C., on WRC NBC 4, WTTG Fox 5, WJLA ABC 7, WUSA CBS 9, NewsChannel 8 and has been written up by the Associated Press, CBSSports.com, ESPN.com, Sports Illustrated and the Washington Post to name a few.
