WASHINGTON – The Gallaudet University football story went to a new level late Thursday night when the Associated Press released a lengthy feature on the team. Associated Press sports writer Joseph White, from the Washington, D.C. bureau, visited Gallaudet last Friday and penned a story on the undefeated Bison (7-0), and riding a nine-game winning streak. White touched on several different stories about the team including senior defenside end Adham Talaat, senior running back Ryan Bonheyo, the change in the direction of the program and the long history and tradition of GU football.
The Associated Press is published and distributed to more than 1,500 newspapers around the nation and internationally. The Gallaudet story titled "Unbeaten Gallaudet aims for 1st NCAA berth" was picked up online by many of the top newspapers in the United States including the Boston Herald, Charlotte News Observer, Miami Herald, Oklahoman, Sacramento Bee and the Washington Post to name a few reaching millions of people.
