Mount Ida College senior quarterback Scott Drosendahl has signed a four month contract to play professional football with the Tampere Saints of Europe's Second Division in Finland. The Saints, located in Southern Finland, were established in 1998 by current team owner and President Aki Lindholm, and will attempt to win their second European Championship under the direction of Drosendahl.

Drosendahl was a four year, starting quarterback for Mount Ida leading the Mustangs to their first ever Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) title this past season and first NCAA berth with an overall record of 8-3, 6-1 ECFC. Scott completed 562 passes on 1,002 attempts while throwing for 7,895 passing yards, all while throwing for 80 touchdowns and running for eleven of his own in his four years at the helm for the Mustangs. Drosendahl is the statistical leader in every major passing category in the program's history.

Scott is looking forward to the opportunity to bring his talents to the next level over in Finland and will make the best of every opportunity presented to him. Drosendahl believes his football experience over the course of four years at Mount Ida will help him thrive while overseas. "My football experience at Mount Ida College will impact my experience in Finland because when I first came to school I was over 450 miles from home and it was a culture shock for me as a 17 year old. Football provides structure in my life and having a set schedule in Finland, similar to that of the one I had here at Mount Ida, as well as my teammates, will help me adapt quickly to the new environment. I'm extremely excited, and I very much look forward to the opportunity at hand. "
