The Maritime football team dropped its final non-conference game of the regular season to the William Paterson Pioneers by the score of 49-23 on Saturday afternoon at Wightman Stadium. The Privateers racked up 308 yards rushing and possesed the ball for over 40 minutes in the loss.
Anna Maria lost on the road at Cathollic 49-0. The AMCATS were led on the ground Anna Maria by senior Robert Small who gained 77 yards on 19 carries and a pair of quarterbacks in Troy Faretra and Gregory McGoldrick. Faretra had 11 completions for 80 yards while McGoldrick was a precise 4-for-5 for 21 yards.
Six ECFC teams were on a bye during week 4. Conference play begins next week, Saturday, October 5.
