Full Team Listing

THROGGS NECK, N.Y. – For the second consecutive season, the Maritime Football team was represented by a pair of student-athletes on the Capital One Academic All-District First Team for District III as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Earning his second consecutive selection is Maritime junior defensive back Beau Warrington (Milford, Del./Sussex Technical), while appearing on the All-District Team for the first time is junior offensive lineman Brandon Kuster (Woodstock, N.Y./Kingston). With their Academic All-District First Team selections, both Warrington and Kuster are now eligible to be selected as Academic All-Americans, which will be released in early December.

Warrington has a 3.85 GPA entering the fall 2014 semester as he majors in Marine Transportation and earning his U.S. Coast Guard Deck License at Maritime. On the field, the Delaware native has seen time in all nine of the Privateers games to this point in the season and has collected 41 total tackles to go along with one fumble recovery, and one blocked kick.

Kuster currently has a 3.53 GPA as he also plans to earn his degree in Marine Transportation and also plans to acquire his U.S. Coast Guard Deck License while studying in Throggs Neck. The Woodstock, N.Y. native to this point on the season has started in seven of the team's nine games as the Privateer center, and has helped paved the way for the Maritime rushing attack that is second in the ECFC with 186.2 yards per game this year.

The Privateers were the only team in the eight-team ECFC to have multiple selections to the All-District Teams this season as Warrington and Kuster were joined by Tyler Cardbone of Norwich and Kevin Alberque of Castleton State in District I, while Nico Santiago of Gallaudet was a District II selection.

To be eligible for Academic All-America consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, and have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution.

Maritime wraps up its 2014 season with a matchup this Saturday against Gallaudet at 12 p.m. in Washington D.C.
