OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Kevin Alberque, Castleton
(Sr, WR - RIdgefield Park, N.Y.)
Alberque was all over the field for Castleton making big plays in their 30-24 win over Maritime. The senior totaled 217 all-purpose yards on just 13 touches, along with a touchdown. Five of his touches went for at least 20 yards and four of his six catches were for a first down, with a fifth being a 40-yard touchdown reception.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Dom Spaulding, Mount Ida
(Jr, DL - West Hartford, Conn.)
Spaulding had a historically dominant day on defense, helping Mount Ida to a 22-0 shutout of Becker at Alumni Field. All eight of Spaulding's solo tackles on the day were for a loss of yardage, and he pushed the Hawks back a total of 32 yards on his own. He also had 3 solo sacks for a loss of 19 yards and one of those sacks pushed Becker into their own end zone for a Mount Ida safety. Spaulding also had a quarterback hurry on the day, as he was in the Becker backfield all game, and his pressure on Becker's quarterbacks led to a pair of Mount Ida interceptions, one of which was returned for a Mustang touchdown.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Bobby Lineberger, Castleton
(So, K/P - Warwick, R.I.)
Lineberger continued his impressive sophomore campaign with six points and a couple strong punts in Castleton's 30-24 win over Maritime. Lineberger connected on his only field goal attempt and went 3-for-3 on extra point attempts for six points. He also added a pair of punts for 67 total yards without allowing any punt return yardage for the Privateers. Lineberger's best punt came in the final two minutes, as he pinned Maritime on its own nine-yard line prior to its final drive of the game.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Devin Broadley, Mount Ida
(Fr, P - Hyannis, Mass.)
Under rainy and windy conditions, Broadley punted nine times for an average of 33.3 yards and even boomed a long of 46 yards. Most importantly, he pinned the Hawks inside of their own twenty yard line on four occasions, with his best effort being downed just inside the Becker five yard line, helping Mount Ida win the field position game in their 22-0 shutout of Becker.
