OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Zach Allen, Norwich
(Jr, WR - Boston, Mass.)
Allen made the most of his opportunities with three catches totaling 140 yards with two touchdowns to lead Norwich to a 28-20 victory over Anna Maria on Saturday. Allen had three receptions with two of them ending in the end zone, including a 74-yard grab that ended up being the difference in the game with 12:58 left in the fourth quarter.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Kalyn Smithson, Mount Ida
(Sr, LB - Vilseck, Germany)
Smithson forced a pair of fumbles that led to all of Mount Ida's ten points in a 10-6 win at Gallaudet. He knocked the ball out deep in Gallaudet's territory to lead to a field goal in the first quarter. Then, with the Bison on the Mount Ida one yard line, Smithson forced a fumble and recovered himself, returning the ball 50 yards, which set the Mustangs up for their game-winning touchdown. Smithson also had eight tackles in the win.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Diogo Dietrich, Maritime (N.Y.)
(Jr, K - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)
Junior placekicker Diogo Dietrich set the new program record for field goals made in Maritime's win on Saturday afternoon against Becker. Dietrich also accounted for half of Maritime's 14 points on the afternoon with seven on the day. With just under eight minutes left in the opening quarter, he lined up for a 27-yard field goal and sent the ball through the uprights for his 18th career field goal, setting the new program record that had stood for three seasons. He later tacked on a 35-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter to cap of the scoring for Maritime.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Craig Hinrichs, Maritime (N.Y.)
(Fr, LB - Islip, N.Y.)
Maritime rookie linebacker Craig Hinrichs had a season-best four tackles and a forced fumble in the Privateers' 13-6 win over Becker on Saturday afternoon. The rookie collected his first career sack for a loss in six yards on Becker's first drive in the second quarter to force a fourth down and a punt. Hinrichs was part of a big play in the fourth quarter, as Becker started the period with the ball but the linebacker was able to force a fumble to give Maritime the ball back.
