In a weekend of outstanding rushing performances, Mount Ida's Johrone Bunch was the best. The Mustang running back racked up 219 yards and four touchdowns to lead Mount Ida past Castleton 54-34. Spartan quarterback Shane Brozowski threw for 333 yards and four touchdowns in the loss.
Following a scoreless opening half, Maritime used two Jamie Spanopoulos touchdowns and 179 yards rushing to defeat Gallaudet 21-14. The two teams comibined for four fourth quarter touchdowns but it was too little too late for the Bison whose comeback fell short.
One of the league's best passing offenses turned to the ground to earn victory as Anna Maria rushed for 334 yards in a 31-28 win over Husson. Robert Small led the way for the AMCATS with 208 yards and a touchdown.
ECFC champion Norwich and Becker have finished their regular season. Norwich awaits announcement of the NCAA Tournament field to find out their opponent for next Saturday's NCAA Division III playoff game.
