Trodden amassed a career-high 128 passing yards for the
Privateers, going 12-for-18 on competitions with one pass
touchdown. He also registered 55 rushing yards for Maritime in the
13-7 win over arch-rival Kings Point. He was a major part of seven
important plays in the late-fourth-quarter drive that sealed the
victory, including one first-down run and two first-down passes
(one, his longest completion of the day, was a 24-yard pass on a
3rd-and-10 play).
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Thomas Boney,
Maritime (N.Y.)
(Jr, DE - Jacksonville, Fla./University Christian)
Up by six points midway through the fourth quarter, Boney made an
important sack for Maritime in the red zone on a Kings Point
4th-and-2 play from the Privateers' 12-yard line that turned the
ball over on downs and gave Maritime the ball for the final drive.
He ended the day with five total tackles (3 solo and 2 assisted) in
the 13-7 win in the 3rd Annual "Seafaring Scuffle" over Merchant
Marine.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Audie Murphy,
Husson
(Jr, WR - Biddeford, ME)
Audie Murphy had 7 kick returns for 146 yards in the Eagles' loss
to Springfield College. Murphy averaged over 20 yards per return,
and had a long of 45 which would have gone the distance had it not
been for a desperation tackle from the Pride Kicker. The junior
wide receiver also had 2 catches for 74 yards and a touchdown for
220 all purpose yards on the day.

Lamar Richards,

Lamar Richards had a break-out game vs. Springfield College,
hauling in 7 catches for 72 yards to lead all receivers in the
game. The first year receiver averaged over 10 yards per reception
with a long of 35 yards.
