OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Shane Brozowski,
Castleton

Brozowski had the answer all day on Saturday, throwing for 458 and
seven touchdowns in Castleton's last-second, come-from-behind win
over Anna Maria. Brozwoski's 458 yards tied for second all-time in
Castleton and ECFC history, while the seven scoring throws set a
new high-water mark for both. Facing a third-and-15 at the Anna
Maria 35 yard-line, Brozowski completed a 31-yard strike down to
the four-yard line, setting up a dramatic fourth-down touchdown
pass with just 15 seconds remaining. Brozowski completed passes to
six different Spartans, tossing touchdown strikes to five.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Frank Greene, Mount
Ida
(So, DB - Hamden, CT)
Mount Ida College sophomore defensive back Frank Greene (Hamden,
CT/Hamden) had a career day propelling the Mustangs to a 7-3
non-conference victory over visiting Hartwick College Saturday
afternoon in Newton, Massachusetts. Greene intercepted two passes
on the day. He also forced and recovered a fumble at the end of the
game to seal the victory for Mount Ida. Greene also added 2.5
tackles for the contest.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kyle Bishop,
Husson
(Fr, P - Waterville, ME)
Kyle Bishop continued his stellar performance as the Eagles'
punter in 2011, punting 9 times in the loss to #13 Wesley,
maintaining a 38.7 yard average on the day. Bishop forced 5 fair
catches, keeping the visiting Wolverines from returning a punt all
day.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Derrick Pitts,
Norwich
(Fr, WR - Schnectady, N.Y.)
In first start in backfield, Pitts rushed for 116 yards and a
touchdown which included a 54-yard scoring scamper which is longest
individual rushing scoring play for Cadets this season...Also
hauled in one reception and recorded a tackle on special teams.
