OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Freshman quarterback Quentin Williams ran for a career-high 234 yards and two touchdowns in the first half alone as the Bison defeated Castleton State College 59-40 on the road. The Bison offense tallied 532 yards on the ground in the game as Williams was responsible for 44 percent of the Bison total. He averaged 11.7 yards per carry. Williams played the game's first five possessions (total of about 18 minutes) before he was knocked out of the game at the 3:23 mark in the second quarter with an injury. He scored on a career best 86-yard run three minutes into the game when he broke loose down the sideline on third down and three. The three-time ECFC Rookie of the Week followed that with a 23-yard touchdown run to start the second quarter.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Matt Harris, Gallaudet
(So, DE - Lynchburg, Va.)
Harris continued to pile up sacks for Gallaudet University last Saturday in the Bison 59-40 victory on the road against Castleton State College. Harris harassed Castleton quarterback Shane Brozowski, the top passer in the ECFC, and sacked him three times for a loss of 17 yards. He ended the games with six solo tackles, four quarterback hurries and four tackles for a loss of 19 yards. Harris also forced a fumble when he sacked Brozowski in the fourth quarter.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Long Ding, Norwich
(Sr, K - Qing Dao, China)
Ding drilled his second 40-plus-yard field goal and was six-for-six in extra points to help lead Norwich to sixth straight win. The senior punter/place kicker also averaged 33.5 yards per punt and over 40 yards per kickoff.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Zach Spector, Maritime (N.Y.)
(Fr, SS - Ronkonkoma, N.Y./St. Anthony's Prep.)
Spector played a key role in the fourth quarter for the Privateer defense in Maritime's 34-13 road win at Husson on Saturday. With the Eagles threatening in the redzone late in the game, Spector recorded his first career interception, which came in the endzone. Earlier, on the same drive, he broke up a pass in the endzone on a 2nd-and-3 situation from the 35-yard line that would've give Husson a touchdown. The rookie also had one assisted tackle on the day.
