BANGOR, Maine – The Dean College football team dropped a Friday night game at Husson, 75-17.
Dean (1-4) concludes a 3-game road trip next Saturday with a noon kickoff at Curry. Husson improves to 4-1.
First-year wideout Dy'riece Smith (Boston, Mass.) hauled in a pair of TD catches and finished with 71 yards on four grabs for the Bulldogs. First-year quarterback Isaac Sisneros (Littleton, Colo.) was 29-49 for 286 yards with 2 TDs and an INT. Senior tight end Jordan Mason (Stockbridge, Ga.) caught nine balls for 60 yards.
Junior Griffin Sullivan (Colchester, Conn.) converted both extra points and made a 37-yard field goal.
First-year Kevin Smith Jr. (Liberty City, Fla.) led the Dean defenders with six tackles. First-year Herman Esquivel Mendez (Chelsea, Mass.) added five tackles and a sack.
Elijah Garnett rushed for 250 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Eagles. Husson quarterback Nic Visser went 12-16 for 145 yards and 3 TDs. Jed Lober also scored twice on five carries for 95 yards. Cullen Casey had three catches for 30 yards with two of them finding the end zone.
