RPI Tops Dean, 63-0

TROY, N.Y. – The Dean College football team fell at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), 63-0, on Saturday night.

Dean (1-3) continues its three-game road trip on Friday with a 6 p.m. kickoff at Husson. RPI, who received votes in the latest American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) poll, improves to 4-0.

Senior tight end Jordan Mason (Stockbridge, Ga.) led the Dean pass catchers with seven receptions and 70 yards. First-year Isaac Sisneros (Littleton, Colo.) went 6-13 for 77 yards through the air.

Sophomore Andrew Liverman (Union City, N.J.) and sophomore Brandon Lane (Valdosta, Ga.) led the Dean defense with 11 tackles apiece. First-year Kevin Smith Jr. (Liberty City, Fla.) also recorded double digit tackles with 10. First-year Herman Esquival Mendez (Chelsea, Mass.) finished with five tackles and an interception.

RPI finished with 322 rushing yards and 531 total yards. Kayden White led the rushers with 75 yards and two scores. Joshua Ahrens totaled 62 yards and a touchdown, while Christian Buckley scored twice on 56 yards. Dameon Ming and Justin McCormick also had rushing touchdowns. Anthony Meissner had one catch for 67 yards and a touchdown.

Mark Lapioli and Anthony D'Agostino had six tackles apiece to lead the RPI defenders.
