NEW LONDON, CT — The Anna Maria College Football team traveled to New London, CT on Saturday, September 9th to take on the Bears of Coast Guard. The AMCATS lost the game 93-24.

The AMCATS couldn't keep up with the Bears in the first quarter, giving up a resounding five touchdowns for 35 points. The AMCATS first points wouldn't come until early in the second quarter here Ryan Kent would kick a 31 yard field goal for three points. The Bears would jump right back on the AMCATS with another touchdown just minutes later. Kevin Acosta Jr. score the AMCATS first touchdown of the game off a throw from Ryan Russell. Despite the growing efforts from Anna Maria, the Bears continued to pile on as the game continued. Justin Brown and Deandre Wallace would score the final two touchdowns for the AMCATS. Unable to fight back against the Bears, the AMCATS finish the game behind Coast Guard 93-24.
