OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Joshua Woodward, Norwich
(Sr, QB - Dayton, Maine)
Senior quarterback Joshua Woodward rushed for  went 16-for-31 and threw a career-high 186 passing yards before he rushed in for a 12-yard touchdown in the third quarter that ended up being enough to help seal the win for Norwich University. The Cadets picked up their fifth straight win after holding on for a 13-6 win over SUNY Maritime in a pivotal Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) match-up.

 

 

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Jovan Wilkins, Mount Ida
(Sr, DB - Poughkeepsie, N.Y.)
Senior defensive back Jovan Wilkins had the game-clinching interception on Mount Ida's four yard line with under ten seconds left to play as the Amcats were in business after recovering an onside-kick. It was the second pick of the game for Wilkins, who also changed the game when he blocked an extra point attempt, which later forced Anna Maria to go for two, keeping the Mustangs in the lead. The senior had two tackles, two interceptions and a blocked kick.

 


SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Wesley Medeiros, Norwich
(So, K - Gilford, N.H.)
Sophomore kicker Wesley Medeiros was the catalyst in the Norwich University's 13-6 victory over SUNY Maritime as he drilled in a pair of field goals from 35-yards and 24-yards out to put the Cadets on the board early in the first half of the game. The six points proved to be the deciding factor as the game winded down with Medeiros adding an extra point after the first and only touchdown of the contest.

 


ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Nick Hewitt, Mount Ida
(Fr, WR - Killingly, Conn.)
Hewitt had a new career high 62 receiving yards on three receptions and caught a 32-yard touchdown pass to open up the scoring in Mount Ida's 14-12 win over Anna Maria.
