2014 Becker College Football Season Preview

Fourth year head coach Mike Lichten returns 16 starters from his 2013 squad which went 3-7 overall and 2-5 in the ECFC.

On offense, the Hawks will have a new quarterback under center as Becker's all-time leading passer Bobby Baker graduated last May. The strength of the Becker offense is the return of their entire line, including senior captain Chris Schwarz and 2013 ECFC second teamer Tim Farina. Junior running back Matthew Romasco returns after leading the Hawks 587 rushing yards in 2013. Sophomore DeJahn Dawkins will try to build on a stellar freshman year in which he led the Hawks with 468 receiving yards and seven touchdowns., earning him First Team All ECFC honors.

On defense, the Hawks will have to fill the void left by graduating captain Melvin Booker who is the all-time leader in tackles at Becker College. Key returners to the Becker defense are junior defensive end Michael Calafiore, sophomore defensive back Davin Collins, senior captain Antonio Young, junior defensive lineman Snider Saint-Vil and junior linebacker Josh Lawrence.
