ECFC Lands Seven Student-Athletes On D3football.com All-Region I Team

KILLINGWORTH, Conn. — Seven members of the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) have earned D3football.com All-Region I honors, as announced by the organization earlier today.

FIRST TEAM

RET — Noah Currier (Oakfield, N.Y.), Alfred State

SECOND TEAM

WR — Deandre Wallace (Waterbury, Conn.), Anna Maria
CB — Lamar Wilkes (Philadelphia, Pa.), Anna Maria

THIRD TEAM

RB — Dre'Vaughn Mackall (Prince Frederick, Md.), Gallaudet
C — Max Cyr (Middletown, Conn.), Anna Maria
RET — Andrae' Green (Washington, D.C.), Gallaudet
LB — Jacob Hartman (Petersburg, W.Va), Gallaudet


ALL-REGION AWARD NOTES

The D3football.com All-Region Team started in 2005 and honors three teams of top student-athletes in each of the six regions (1 through 6) in Division III football.

D3football.com All-Region I Teams were selected in balloting by Region 1 Sports Information Directors (SIDs) and D3football.com staff.

A total of 78 student-athletes were chosen from 210 nominations by full Division III member schools. 

Student-athletes nominated for All-Region are eligible to be considered for D3football.com All-America honors, which will be announced the evening of December 15, in D3football.com's pregame coverage for Stagg Bowl 50.

Please note, NCAA Division III realigned Division III football into six regions in 2021. 

Region 1 includes the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC), Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC), Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC), New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), and New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC). 


About the ECFC

The Eastern Collegiate Football Conference was formed in the spring of 2009 as an NCAA Division III single-sport football conference. The conference, named after the geographic location of the institutions began competition in the fall of 2009.

Current members are Alfred State College (Alfred, NY), Anna Maria College (Worcester, MA), Dean College (Franklin, MA), Gallaudet University (Washington, D.C.), and Vermont State Castleton (Castleton, VT.)

The mission of the conference is to:

  1. Promote intercollegiate varsity football as an integral part of the educational experience of all competitors. 
  2. Establish a conference schedule and determine a conference champion that will represent the conference as the automatic qualifier to the NCAA national tournament.
  3. Adopt sportsmanship, fair play, moral integrity, and competitive excellence as cornerstones of the conference.
