Marshfield, Mass. - Castleton University senior linebacker Darren Callan earned himself a spot on this week's D3football.com Team of the Week for his performance on Saturday. This is the 18th season that D3football.com has selected the Team of the Week, which honors the top player nationally at each position from the previous week. Callan, the ECFC Defensive Player of the Week, collected 21 tackles, 12 solo, in the Spartans' 26-14 victory vs. Mount Ida. With the game still scoreless and Mount Ida at the Castleton 32, Callan stuffed Mount Ida's Gary Deanley on fourth-and-2 to turn the ball over on downs and set up Castleton's first score of the game.
