Boldvich Tapped to Lead ECFC

The Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) is pleased to announce that Katie Boldvich has been hired as Commissioner of the eight-team football conference.

"We are pleased to welcome Katie to the conference, and are excited to begin working with her," said Chair of the Athletic Directors Council Matt Burke. "She will be an outstanding addition to the conference and brings extensive knowledge about the NCAA Division III, and working within single-sport conferences like ours."

Boldvich spent the past year as Commissioner of the New England Hockey Conference and the Colonial Hockey Conference. Boldvich also serves as the Collegiate and Special Events Manager for USRowing, and will continue with these roles along with her new appointment.

From 2013-2015 Boldvich served as an associate vice president with the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), where she served as the point of contact for six Division III hockey conferences as well as Division II Lacrosse, Division II Field Hockey and all six rowing affiliates.

"I'm honored to be selected as the next commissioner of the ECFC," said Boldvich. "It is clear the member institutions are committed to the wellbeing of our student-athletes and promoting the Division III philosophy. I hope to work hand in hand to promote the success of our students and programs on and off the field."

Boldvich will begin to serve the conference immediately in her new capacity.

"I'd like to thank the members of the search committee along with the league Presidents, Athletic Directors and Coaches for the opportunity and I can't wait to get started."

ABOUT THE ECFC

The Eastern Collegiate Football Conference was formed in the spring of 2009 as an NCAA Division III single sport football conference. The conference, named after the geographic location of the institutions began competition in the fall of 2009.

Founding members were Anna Maria College (Worcester, Mass.), Becker College (Leicester, Mass.), Castleton University (Castleton, Vt.), Gallaudet University (Washington, D.C.), Husson University (Bangor, Maine), Maritime College State University of New York (Throggs Neck, N.Y.), Mount Ida College (Newton, Mass.), and Norwich University (Northfield, Vt.). Alfred State College (Alfred, N.Y.), and Dean College (Franklin, Mass.) will join in 2017, filling the void made by the departures of Becker and Norwich.
