OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Quincy Williams, Norwich
(So., RB- Brossard, Quebec)
Quincy Williams led the ground attack for Norwich University as he averaged 6.2 yards per career en route to 106 yards and two touchdowns in the Cadets' 33-7 decision over Mount Ida. Williams had scoring runs of five and 14 yards and five of his 17 carries went for more than 10 yards.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Nicholas Sherman, Becker
(Sr, DB - Hartford, Conn.)
Senior defensive back Nicholas Sherman recorded a pair of interceptions, including one for a touchdown in the Hawks 58-6 victory over Gallaudet University. Sherman also had six tackles including 1.5 for a loss.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Carneilus Smith, Gallaudet
(Jr, DB/LB - Chesapeake, Va.)
Smith returned two kicks for a total of 114 yeards, including one for a 91-yard touchdown, the longest return for Gallaudet since an 85-yard score in 2007. It was just his fourth return of his career.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Moe Harris, Castleton
(Fr., RB - Pine Hill, N.J.)
Harris went over 100 all-purpose yards for the school-record seventh consecutive game in a 17-14 win over Anna Maria. The freshman rushed 21 times for 91 yards and a touchdown to go along with a 41-yard kickoff return. Harris scored on a one-yard plunge late in the third quarter to even the game up at 14 apiece and picked up a key first down on the final possession that allowed the Spartans to salt the game away.
