OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Joe Seccareccia, Husson
(Sr, QB - Bangor, Maine)
Seccareccia led Husson to its eighth straight ECFC win, connecting on 18-of-24 passes for 298 yards and four touchdowns against Castleton. The senior quarterback struck for touchdowns of 61, 63, 45, and 14 yards on the day and did not throw an interception.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sir Michael Finney, Norwich
(Sr., DB - Killeen, Texas)
Finney played an integral role in Norwich's first win of the season, a 31-14 triumph over Becker. The senior defensive back posted a team-high ten tackles, including eight solo stops and came up with a crucial forced fumble in the third quarter at the Norwich one-yard line as the Hawks aimed to cut the Cadet lead to one score.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Wesley Medeiros, Norwich
(Jr., K - Guilford, N.H.)
Medeiros was a perfect 4-for-4 on point after tries, and drilled a 40-yard field goal to push the Cadet lead to ten late in the third quarter win over Becker. Medeiros also handled the punting duties, averaging 38 yards on three punts.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Jack Sheehan, Mount Ida
(Fr, QB - St. Petersburg, Fla.)
Sheehan tossed three touchdowns in an ECFC victory over Gallaudet, accumulating 184 yards through the air while completing 12 of 19 passes. Sheehan put the Mustangs on top early with a 14-yard swing pass to give Mount Ida a 6-0 lead and threw his second touchdown with just two seconds left in the first half to extend that advantage.
