Two ECFC players have been named to the 2015 New England Football Writers Division II/III All-New England team. Husson sophomore running back and ECFC Offensive Player of the Year John Smith and Castleton junior offensive lineman and ECFC Offensive Lineman of the Year Eric Decker have each been named to the list.
Smith led the ECFC in rushes (296), yards (1,733), yards per rush (5.9), and touchdowns (20). The running back averaged better than 170 yards per contest, surpassing the 100 yard mark in all but two contests, and surpassing the 200 yard mark twice.
Decker anchored a Spartan offensive line that pushed its way to 363.8 yards and 26.9 points per contest while allowing the third fewest sacks league wide.
Twenty-eight players representing 18 different teams have been named to the 2015 New England Football Writers Division II/III All-New England team.
