Castleton's Soren Pelz-Walsh OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Soren Pelz-Walsh was all over the field for the Spartans in their 21-10 victory over Plymouth St. The junior made eight catches for a career-high 154 yards and one touchdown. Five of his catches were for first downs and he also drew a pair of pass interference calls as well to secure first downs. His touchdown provided the final score as Castleton earned the 11-point win.

Maritime's Kameron Knight DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Kameron Knight started his final season off with nine tackles on the afternoon against Maine Maritime, while helping the team to its second consecutive shutout win dating back to the 2014 season. In addition he tied the program record for sacks in a game with 3.5, a mark set back in the team's inaugural season of 2006. His 3.5 tackles for a loss in yardage is also fourth on the single-game record list at Maritime, just one shy of the all-time record of 4.5.

Maritime's Diogo Dietrich SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Diogo Dietrich got his season off on the right foot as he booted a 43-yard field goal. In addition to his three-point boot, the 2014 d3football.com All-American and 2015 d3football.com Preseason All-American also added three extra points as he finished the contest with six points on the afternoon, helping the team to a 30-0 season-opening victory.

Maritime's Matt Ward ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Matt Ward made his presence felt in a big way in his first career collegiate game, as he received three passes in Maritime's triple-option based offense. His three catches went for 57 yards, with his biggest catch of the game coming on a 42-yard touchdown scoring play in the 3rd quarter.
