ECFC Well-Represented On CSC Academic All-District® List

CSC RELEASE

KILLINGWORTH, Conn. — Eleven members of the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) have earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® accolades.

The following student-athletes were honored:

Silas Egenlauf (Spencerport, N.Y.), Alfred State
Austin Baker (Frederick, Md.), Gallaudet
Tyler Conner (Welsh, La.), Gallaudet
Jacob Hundley (McKee, Ky.), Gallaudet
Carter Johnson (McCall, Idaho), Gallaudet
Jaylen Johnson (Redlands, Calif.), Gallaudet
John Scarboro (Austin, Texas), Gallaudet
Kylar Sicoli (Austin, Texas), Gallaudet

In addition to their CSC Academic All-District®  awards, Alfred State's Silas Egenlauf and Gallaudet's John Scarboro are now eligible for CSC Academic All-America® accolades. 

First, second, and third team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on January 28, 2025.


AWARD CRITERIA

  • Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
  • An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).
  • A graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a grad student unless they are in their first semester as a graduate student and don't have an established graduate GPA.
  • Student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games.

About the ECFC

The Eastern Collegiate Football Conference was formed in the spring of 2009 as an NCAA Division III single-sport football conference. The conference, named after the geographic location of the institutions began competition in the fall of 2009.

Current members are Alfred State College (Alfred, NY), Anna Maria College (Worcester, MA), Dean College (Franklin, MA), and Gallaudet University (Washington, D.C.).

  1. Promote intercollegiate varsity football as an integral part of the educational experience of all competitors. 
  2. Establish a conference schedule and determine a conference championship that will represent the conference as the automatic qualifier to the NCAA national tournament.
  3. Adopt sportsmanship, fair play, moral integrity, and competitive excellence as cornerstones of the conference.
