MARSHFIELD, Mass. – The Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) weekly awards were announced for games through Sunday, October 22nd.  Alfred State Freshman Kiegan Brown (Cortland, N.Y.) was named Offensive Player of the Week after his stellar performance over the weekend. Anna Maria teammates Emmanuel Hans (Lowell, Mass.) and Brian McLean (Montgomery, Ala.) earned Defensive and Rookie of the Week honors, respectively. Dean College’s Gene Baisden, Jr. (Tampa, Fla.) was tabbed Special Teams Player of the Week.

Offensive Player of the Week


Kiegan Brown - Alfred State College
(Freshman, RB – Cortland, N.Y.)

Brown recorded his third straight 100-yard game on Saturday against Anna Maria. He had career highs in carries (36), yards (235), and touchdowns (3). He also caught two passes for 22 yards, finishing with 257 all-purpose yards in the game.

Defensive Player of the Week

Emmanuel Hans – Anna Maria College
(Junior, DL – Lowell, Mass.)

Hans finished with 10 total tackles (five solo, five assisted) with 2.5 sacks to help Anna Maria to its first victory of the season, a 36-34 triumph over Alfred State. All his sacks came in the second half, combining for losses of 11 yards.

Rookie of the Week

Brian McLean – Anna Maria College
(Freshman, LB – Montgomery, Ala.)

McLean finished with seven total tackles (three solo, four assisted) with 2.5 sacks to help Anna Maria to its first victory of the season, a 36-34 triumph over Alfred State. He had one sack on the last play of the second quarter with Alfred State in Anna Maria territory, a half sack in the third quarter with Alfred State at the Anna Maria 20 yard line, and his third one in the fourth quarter with Anna Maria leading 36-20.

Special Teams Player of the Week


Gene Baisden, Jr. – Dean College
(Sophomore, LB – Tampa, Fla.)


Baisden had a stellar effort in Saturday night's 17-14 setback to Mount Ida. Late in the fourth quarter, Ricco Aaron blocked a punt and Baisden scooped up the ball and raced 55 yards untouched for the go-ahead score. In addition to his touchdown, Baisden finished with seven tackles and a sack.
