Weaver & Burris Attend FCS National BowlDecember 13, 2017DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Trai Weaver of Anna Maria College and Joshua Burriss of Maritime College represented their respective institutions and the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) at the National Bowl at Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Fla. The National Bowl is specific to Division two and Division three athletes, giving them a chance to play in front of NFL and Canadian Football League (CFL) scouts.

NEFW Announce Major Award Winners, All StarsNovember 27, 2017MARSHFIELD, Mass. - The New England Football Writers (NEFW) announced their major award winners and Division II/III All Stars this weekend. Husson University running back John Smith (Fayetville, Ga.) earned the Division II/III season Gold Helmet Award while Eagles head coach Gabby Price was named the New England College Division Coach of the Year. Presented by the Jack Grinold/Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of the National Football Foundation, the Gold Helmet Awards are given to the player deemed to be the player of the year in Division I FBS/FCS and Division II/III. In addition to Smith, three other ECFC student athletes were selected to the NEFW All Star team.

Smith Named Gagliardi Trophy SemifinalistNovember 21, 2017COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Nov. 20, 2017 – Nine seniors and one junior make up the semifinalists for the 2017 Gagliardi Trophy, an award presented by Jostens and the J-Club of Saint John’s University (Minn.) to the most outstanding football player in NCAA Division III. John Smith is the first finalist in Husson University's football program and Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) history.

Husson defeats Springfield to Advance in NCAA Division III Football PostseasonNovember 20, 2017SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Husson University defeated Springfield College 23-21 in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Football Postseason. The win marked the first time in Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) history that a member institution advanced out of the first round.

SUNY Maritime to Represent ECFC in 2017 New England Bowl SeriesNovember 12, 2017The Curry Colonels, the Framingham State Rams, the Maritime Privateers and the WPI Engineers have been selected as the participants in the 2017 New England Bowl Series which will be played at local sites on Saturday, November 18. Framingham State will host Curry at Bowditch Field in Framingham, Mass. at 12:00 p.m, while WPI will host Maritime at Alumni Stadium in Worcester, Mass. at 6:00 p.m.
