Scarpato Named ECFC Commissioner

KILLINGWORTH, CONN. - The Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) Athletic Directors Council has announced Stephanie Scarpato as its newest conference commissioner.

"We are thrilled that Stephanie is stepping into this important leadership role for our conference" said AD Council Chair and Director of Athletics at Alfred State College, Jason Doviak. "It was clear to the search committee during the interview process that Stephanie's knowledge, enthusiasm, and organization was the perfect combination for our next commissioner. Her unique experience as a conference office executive, college administrator, coach, and student-athlete prepared her well for this role and we are excited to work with her."

Scarpato has served as the Assistant Commissioner for the ECFC since 2016. She also serves as the Assistant Commissioner of the New England Hockey Conference and is a Senior Assistant Athletic Director at Wesleyan University. She will continue with these roles along with her new appointment.

Prior to her current roles, Scarpato worked at Endicott College for two years in a variety of capacities, including coaching, facility operations, equipment services, and event management. From 2012-2015, Scarpato served as the Coordinator of Leagues, Affiliates and Championships for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), where she served as a key contact for five Division III hockey conferences as well as a Division II lacrosse league and several rowing affiliates.

"I would like to thank the search committee, league presidents, athletic directors, and coaches for giving me this opportunity. I look forward to continuing to work with this committed group of coaches and athletic directors to promote the league and the many accomplishments of our student athletes."

Scarpato has served as the Interim Commissioner since April and will begin to serve the conference immediately in her new capacity.
