The Spartans forced Anna Maria to punt on its first drive and received the ball on the 10-yard line. Castleton drove all the way to the Anna Maria 18-yard line on 14 plays, before back-to-back incompletions on third and fourth down ended the scoring opportunity.

The AMCATS countered with their first touchdown of the game, as Santino Simone found Robert Small for the eight-yard touchdown with just under four minutes left to make it 40-13. However, Alberque pushed the lead back to 34, returning the ensuing kickoff 80 yards for the touchdown.

In the fourth quarter, Anna Maria hit another field goal early, but Brozowski and Boyle connected one more time to extend the Spartan lead to 54-16 with 12:51 left in the contest.

The AMCATS tacked on 17 points in the final ten minutes, but it was too little much too late as Castleton finished with the 21-point win.
