MARSHFIELD, Mass. – The Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) weekly awards were announced for games through Sunday, November 3rd.  Dean College teammates Terrell Watts (New Haven, Conn.) and Shannon Moxey (Austell, Ga.) took home Offensive Player of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively. Alfred State’s David Carroll (Mastic, N.Y.) earned Rookie of the Week while Maritime’s Joseph Gagliardi (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) was named Special Teams Player of the Week.

Offensive Player of the Week

Terrell Watts – Dean College
(Sophomore, QB – New Haven, Conn.)

Watts was unbelievable in Saturday's 50-46 win over Alfred State. He was 18-for-29 for 260 yards and a school record seven touchdowns. He had scoring strikes of 4, 5, 11, 20, 23, 33 and 59 yards - five of those went to Errol Breaux.

Defensive Player of the Week

Shannon Moxey – Dean College
(Senior, DB - Austell, Ga.)

Moxey had a standout performance in the Bulldogs' win over Alfred State on Saturday. He finished with nine tackles, a pass breakup, a blocked extra point, and had a key interception late in the fourth quarter that he returned for 15 yards. Moxey also returned two kickoffs for 16 yards and had a 47-yard touchdown reception on a fake punt.

Rookie of the Week

David Carroll – Alfred State
(Freshman, RB - Mastic, N.Y.)


Carroll recorded his first 100-yard receiving game of his career on Saturday. The freshman running back finished with five catches (two for touchdowns) and 107 yards.

Special Teams Player of the Week

Joseph Gagliardi – Maritime (N.Y.)
(Sophomore, K - Ronkonkoma.N.Y.)

Gagliardi made his lone field goal attempt from 28 yards and was 3-3 on extra points in the Privateers 24-13 win over Gallaudet on Saturday. Gagliardi also punted twice for 88 yards, with both landing inside the 20.
