MARSHFIELD, Mass. – The Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) weekly awards were announced for games through Sunday, September 23rd. Dean College teammates Errol Breaux (Marietta, Ga.) and Shannon Moxey (Marietta, Ga.) earned Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, while DeAndre Grange (Teaneck, N.J.) earned Rookie of the Week honors.
Offensive Player of the Week
Errol Breaux – Dean College
(Junior, WR– Marietta, Ga.)
Breaux was a game changer in the Bulldogs’ 42-15 win over Becker. He caught an 86-yard pass when Dean was backed up on their own one-yard line. Later, he caught touchdown passes of 22 yards and 21 yards, respectively, finishing with four catches for 135 yards and the two scores.
Defensive Player of the Week
Shannon Moxey – Dean College
(Junior, DB – Marietta, Ga.)
Moxey was a standout on defense for Dean as they picked up their first win of the season. He was everywhere, totaling six tackles, a pass breakup, an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery as the Bulldogs forced six turnovers in a 42-15 win over Becker.
Rookie of the Week
DeAndre Grange – Dean College
(Freshman, RB – Teaneck, N.J.)
Grange helped Dean dominate the line of scrimmage by rushing for a career-high 116 yards and two touchdowns in the 42-15 win over Becker. He scored the Bulldogs first two scores and even had a two-point conversion.
