The Eastern Collegiate Football Conference announced its 2017 all-conference teams following a vote of the conference coaches. A total of 83 student-athletes received recognition after the completion of the regular season.

For the third straight year, Husson running back John Smith (Fayetteville, Ga.) earned ECFC Offensive Player of the Year honors. The senior standout led Husson to a 9-1 record this season. Smith led the league in yards per game (191.7), yards per rush (7.2), and total yards (1,917). He also led the league in touchdowns (28) and had multi-touchdown performances in all but two games this season. Smith capped off his regular season career last week with a five-touchdown performance. |
Dean's sophomore linebacker Ricco Aaron (Douglassville, Ga.) was named ECFC Defensive Player of the Year. Aaron averaged 10 tackles per game, finishing the 2017 season with 100 total tackles, good for 2nd in the league. He had a season-high 20-tackle game against Nichols, in which the Bison were limited to just three points in the game. |

Maritime's Matthew Murphy (Seaford, N.Y.) earned ECFC Special Teams Player of the Year honors after a successful 2017 campaign. Murphy led the league in nearly every kicking category, including field goals made, field goal long (48 yards), extra point conversion rate (98%) and total points scored at 80. He also assumed punting duties for the Privateers in which he averaged 40.1 yards per punt on 29 attempts, six of which landed inside the 20. |
Maritime's Thomas Korwan (Wantagh, N.Y.) was honored as ECFC Offensive Lineman of the Year after his impressive senior campaign. Korwan anchored a Privateers offense that led the league in passing yards with 2,547 (nearly 500 more yards than the next best passing performance). Maritime's 20 passing touchdowns and 254.7 yards per game were also league highs. Led by Korwan, the Maritime offense was nearly unstoppable in the red zone as well. Their 47-56 scores in red zone (84%) led the ECFC. |

Running back Kiegan Brown (Cortland, N.Y.) of Alfred State University was recognized as ECFC Rookie of the Year for the 2017 campaign. Brown burst onto the ECFC scene in week five, rushing for 118 yards on 24 carries against Dean. He added two other 100+ yard rushing games, including a season-high 235 yards at Anna Maria. He finished the season with eight touchdowns (tied for third in the ECFC) and his 4.5 yards per carry ranked fifth overall in the league. |
Husson University Head Coach, Gabby Price, was recognized by his peers as ECFC Coach of the Year for the second straight season. He led the Eagles to a 9-1 record and back-to-back ECFC titles and consecutive trips to the NCAA Division III Football Postseason. Husson finished the season ranked 6th in the East region's NCAA rankings, the highest ranking in program history. |

Grant Caserta, Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Backs Coach at Husson University earned ECFC Assistant Coach of the Year accolades. Caserta's defense surrendered a league-best 11.2 points per game to opponents. Their 217.4 yards per game and 77.4 rushing yards allowed were also tops in the ECFC.
