ECFC Weekly Honors for September 20, 2010
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kris Sabourin, Norwich University
(Sophomore, QB - Georgia, Vt.)
Norwich's Kris Sanbourn completed 10 of 15 passes, two for
touchdowns, for 141 yards. The sophomore quarterback also gained 82
rushing yards and scored one touchdown leading the Cadets to a
42-27 win over Hartwick.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Pat Lasher, Maritime College
(So., LB - Seaford, N.Y./Seaford)
Lasher led the Privateer defense with 10 total tackles (seven solo
and three assisted) in the exciting 41-34 victory over arch-rival
Kings Point on Saturday. Two of his tackles were for combined
losses of four yards.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Long Ding , Norwich
(Jr., K - Franklin, Mass.)
Ding went six for six in extra points as Norwich defeated Hartwick
42-27.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Christopher Williams, Becker
(Freshman, DL - Uniondale, NY Uniondale High)
In a 55-0 lost to WPI on Saturday night Chris a bright spot on the
Hawks defense. Chris made three and one half tackles, including two
and a half tackles for a loss and a sack. Williams is third on the
team with 13 tackles this season.
