Lindie scored five touchdowns in Husson's 55-51 loss to Castleton.
Lindie paced the Eagles, rushing for 253 yards on 29 carries. The
senior scored on runs of 8, 4, 15, 60 and 17 yards.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Keith Barnes, Maritime College
(So., LB - Westbury, N.Y./Westbury)
Barnes once again led all players on defense with 12 total tackles
(11 solo and one assisted), including two for combined losses of
three yards, in the Privateers exciting 37-35 road victory over
Mount Ida on Saturday. The 6-0, 240-pounder also forced one fumble
and recorded one quarterback hurry in the win.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Justin Wilson, Gallaudet
University
(Senior, Kicker/Punter - Carmichael, Calif.)
Wilson had a busy day last Saturday as Gallaudet beat Becker
College 40-12 on the road. Wilson booted a career best 43-yard
field goal in the first quarter to help the Bison jump out early on
the Hawks. He finished the game with one field goal and completed
five extra-point attempts. Wilson kicked off seven different times
in the game for 400 yards, as he averaged 57.1 yards per kick, and
two touchbacks. Wilson also booted two punts for 85 yards (42.5
yards per punt average) with a long of 48 yards. Wilson did miss a
26-yard field goal in the third quarter.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Ernest Wiggins, Husson
(Fy., DL - Bridgeport, CT)
Wiggins led Husson with nine solo tackles in Saturday's loss to
Castleton. The first-year student anchored the Husson defense in
his break-out season performance.
